- Your soil must be prepared and ready BEFORE your sod arrives.
- Prepare your soil by removing all existing grass, weeds, rocks, debris, etc.
- Make any corrections needed to the grade. It should look as you want it to, paying attention to drainage and evenness.
- To alleviate any soil compaction, roto-till 2 -3 inches deep. Lightly rake and level the area.
- Apply a 12-12-12 starter fertilizer onto dirt before sod installation.
