If you have zoysia, the only thing you need to apply at this time is crabgrass pre-emergant WITHOUT fertilizer. You will begin fertilizing your zoysia with an organic fertilizer on May 1st. Remember, the rate at which zoysia comes out of dormancy in the spring is dependent entirely on the soil temperature. The warmer the soil temperature, the greener the zoysia.
